When well known church benefactor Alan Parnell died it transpired that his Will was invalid. His cousin and close friend contacted a local solicitor who called in Finders heir hunters to trace any other living relatives who may be potential beneficiaries to Alan’s estate. Episode 16 of the BBC TV series Heir Hunters not only shows the Finders team of researchers and agents at work but tells the story of Alan’s life, from his experiences as a 19 year old soldier during the Normandy landings, where badly injured he lost his leg, to his active role with his local church, all the while ignoring his disability.
It was all hands on deck when the case of Roger Stuart Lennon, initially referred privately to the Finders team became public. Aware that competing firms would also be seeking out Roger's rightful heirs, Finders boss Daniel Curran put everyone on the job of tracing Roger's beneficiaries.
