Our first e-conference for 2023 will feature a line-up of outstanding speakers from reputable organizations and charities. Their talks will be pertinent to individuals working in and collaborating with bereavement services. The event seeks to boost the confidence of bereavement staff in effectively guiding the bereaved towards support agencies and sharing the best practices in bereavement services across different contexts.

For our first session of the series, we will be discussing the lines of Intestacy and what that means, who is more entitled, and what happens if Next of Kin do not want to act. The session will also cover Debts, what has to be paid, and what doesn’t if there are minimal funds.

The 2021 instalment of the Public Health Act Funerals E-Conference is aimed at environmental health practitioners and local authority/ other professionals who are involved in PHA Funerals or so-called ‘Pauper’s’ Funerals.

Our keynote speaker will be discussing her research which explores the ways Councils and Empty property owners can work with Property developers (private and community based), supported by a case study of an empty property development.

A discussion into the changes and adaptations occurring during the pandemic which have impacted deputyship and appointeeship work, and further assessing the future of our roles, supported with best practice suggestions from experts in the field.
